THE READING ROOM
How to read a YouTube transcript on Kindle
Turn video captions into a readable EPUB, then add it to your Kindle library with Amazon Send to Kindle.
Start with a transcript you can use
Use a video you own or have permission to convert. If captions are available, paste the YouTube link in Margin Reader. If fetching is unavailable, upload an SRT, VTT, or TXT file instead. Private, restricted, and caption-free videos may not be supported.
Make a reading edition
Review the text, choose a title and author, and preview the chapters. Margin Reader removes subtitle timing and combines captions into paragraphs. It does not fact-check the speaker or add information. Check names, numbers, and quotations before exporting.
Download EPUB and use Send to Kindle
After exporting, download the EPUB and visit amazon.com/sendtokindle. Sign in to your Amazon account and upload the file. Amazon converts supported EPUB documents for your Kindle library. Direct USB transfer of EPUB to Kindle is not the same workflow; use Send to Kindle.
Keep the source close
The book includes the original video link when you provide one. Follow it to check context or return to the original conversation. Treat your reading edition as a personal reference, not a replacement for permission to distribute the original content.
