How Margin Reader handles transcripts, account information, payments, and optional analytics.
Preview locally
Text you paste or upload is processed in your browser for previews. It is sent to our Cloudflare backend only when you request a paid export. If you request captions from a YouTube link, the video identifier is sent to our configured transcript provider, youtube-transcript.io.
Accounts and files
We store your email, session, credit balance, orders, and export history. Resend delivers sign-in codes. Generated EPUB files and temporary processing inputs use private Cloudflare R2 storage. Inputs are removed after processing; generated files expire after seven days. You can delete completed files earlier from your library.
Payments
Stripe hosts checkout and handles payment details. We store order identifiers, payment status, and purchased credits, not card numbers. This release accepts Stripe test-mode transactions only.
Optional analytics
Analytics run only after you choose to allow them. We record funnel events, coarse referral category, and page path, never transcript text or email in event properties. Google Analytics is loaded only when configured and consented to. Browser analytics records expire after 90 days in our database. You can withdraw consent in the footer; previously collected events are not automatically removed.
Contact and account deletion
Use the support email displayed in the footer to request account deletion or ask a privacy question. The operator must configure this contact before public launch. Transaction records may need to be retained where required by applicable accounting rules.
